The GIHC would like to invite everyone to join us at the firehouse on July 18th to watch our second annual hose and barrel competition. In 2008 we had out first competition mix in with our 100th year anniversary celebration. With the nice comments from out local citizens we decided to make it an annual thing. So stop out and enjoy a day of fun and laughter. Don't forget to cheer for your local fire fighters.

The GIHC would like to congratulate Steven Nagy for finally becoming an active member and for graduating from high school. Steven was a junior member with us since he was 14 and was recently voted in as an active member. Steven is graduating from Minersville Jr/Sr High School on June 12th. He is planning on attending college at the University of New Haven with a concentration in arson investigation. We would like to wish him luck with continuing with his education and with taking that next big step in life. Steven will definitely be missed while he's away Make us proud!
